Don’t let common aches and pains associated with gardening distract you from an otherwise enjoyable and beneficial experience. Gardening can be beneficial activity, helping to clear the mind and ease stiff joints. Many find gardening to be not only relaxing and personally fulfilling, but healing as well.

Here are some helpful tips:

  • Prepare your body – prepare yourself by doing one full set of exercise from your KKE (Khan Kinetic Exercise) program.
  • Choose the right tools – gardening tools made in the right size and weight for the user can save the knees and hips from added stress. look for tools that have padded handles and grips to ease pressure on your hands and fingers.
  • Avoid repetition – try to keep your entire body mobile. make gardening dynamic and every few minutes change positions and start a different activity.
  • Used a stool for support– sit n a step stool instead of kneeling on the ground. This is much easier on your lower back.
  • Avoid twisting and bending at the same time – instead, turn your entire body to carry out tasks.
  • Avoid strain to your head and neck– do not allow your neck and head to be bent over for more than 3 minutes at a time.
